is helping us develop our creative approaches to teaching English and hygiene as well as helping us purchase resources for The Nakavika Project. Using their field-tested teaching techniques and mentorship, we’re better prepared to face the challenge of teaching non-English speakers new or difficult-to-grasp concepts. Trip on a Deal…
is helping the project greatly by supplying an HD camcorder, tripod and wireless mic, enabling Garrett and myself to create even more amazing documentation of the experience. Trip on a Deal is a popular weekly webcast on travel tips and deals created by the award-winning And Now Productions team. The support from these two producers has been unwavering and incredibly appreciated. By documenting the project, we are better able to inspire friends, family, and interesting individuals at home, as well as offer our services to Nakavika with events such as the funeral week for Elias. We were also able to show the children what can be done with this sort of equipment to express our creative voices, giving them more options to consider when thinking about potential career paths.
Alkr Gadget Accessories…
is helping us by supplying a laptop case to guard from the intense Fijian highland humidity during monsoon season, as well as the rough rides on the village truck to and from town. The laptop will be used to document The Nakavika Project and multiply our options for creative approaches to learning. Contemporary Dental Arts…
is helping The Nakavika Project by donating toothbrushes and toothpaste out of sheer generosity and belief in the project. With these resources, we will be able to improve the school’s relaxed dental regimen by upgrading their old toothbrushes, impressing the importance of gum and teeth health, and starting the children (and households) on a path toward keeping good dental hygiene a healthy, lifelong habit. She is also educating Garrett on oral health matters that pertain to situations akin to Nakavika, where toothpaste is seldom used.
